International Music Summit 2011

The 2011 edition of the International Music Summit saw the launch of the Burn Studios Audiotool. Introduced by Bobby Simms, with Burn Studios Audiotool Creative Director Richie Hawtin explaining the concept behind the groundbreaking cloud-based technology.

Further to the launch of the creative tool we also launched our brand spanking new burn-studios.com site. This showcase platform is set up to connect you to our Burn Studios ambassadors and provide a hub to showcase your sounds to the rest of the world and keen ears alike.

Other than that, IMS 2011 had an awful lot else going on, with a ton of speakers, panels and a super-special keynote interview with legendary director-turned-musician David Lynch. It was also announced that Sasha would write and producing the official Burn Studios Anthem of IMS 2011, following in the wake of Cassius, who did the honour of doing the same thing last year.

We were also pleased to announce that we'll be teaming up with IMS anthem creator Sasha and eletronic music portal Beatport.com to search for the most exciting, innovative and promising music producers from across the continent of Europe. In the end fourteen lucky entrants will be picked and win the chance to take part in the Burn Studios production bootcamp in Ibiza.

Entrants must remix IMS anthem, created by the aforementioned legendary producer Sasha, using the brand new Burn Studios Audiotool or Beatport's Sound to Sample website to download the remix stems.

The deadline for entries is July 4, 2011 when the fourteen winners will be plucked from the vast numbers by Sasha's own hand. Winners will be flown over to Ibiza to the Burn Studios Hacienda, where Burn Studios is relocating this summer. This is followed by a super-intensive 5-day bootcamp of production developed by SAE. Mentoring sessions and master classes with some of the biggest names in the business are on the agenda.

At the end of the bootcamp the musician with the most support and votes for their remix will be announced as the winner, receiving an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with Sasha on his next release.
